What's available now?

Here's what's growing:

  • zucchini and summer squashes, plus some early winter squash like butternut and acorn
  • peppers, both sweet and hot
  • onions, garlic and shallots
  • tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes!
  • cucumbers
  • apples!
  • root vegetables, including carrots & beets
  • potatoes
  • corn – probably tapering off
  • peaches – tapering off
  • broccoli and cauliflower
  • lettuces, arugula, mustards, other salad greens
  • spinach, kale, chard
  • herbs - parsley, thyme, dill, sage, basil - you name it!
  • chicken and turkey
  • honey and beeswax products
  • eggs
  • flowers and perennials

  • Farmed and wild oysters and clams
  • Lobsters in full force
  • Bluefish, huge and very plump
  • Jig cod, haddock and pollock
  • Fluke in droves in the Sound
  • Black back and yellowtail flounder, rather inexpensive
  • Grey sole
  • Bluefin tuna are starting to fatten up
  • Skate and monk are always in season
  • Day trip scallops have been gorgeous and very sweet
  • Scup and hake, both inexpensive
  • Very slim on local mussels this year
