Grant Writing & Creating a Fundable Project Workshop
The Fundable Project: Turning Good Ideas into
Fundable Programs for Farms and Nonprofits
1. Workshop Overview
Farms, nonprofits, and other community organizations are doing important
work, but do not have access to the research, evaluation, and grant
development expertise that larger organizations rely on to build strong,
fundable programs.
This hands-on workshop introduces the Fundable Project Framework, a
practical approach to turning program ideas into clear, fundable projects.
Attendees will learn how to define a strong project concept, identify
community needs, outline activities and partnerships, and develop
meaningful outcomes that funders look for in successful grant proposals.
Throughout the session, attendees will work through a guided planning
exercise and begin building a fundable project in real time using practical
worksheets and tools. By the end of the workshop, attendees will leave with a
clearer project concept and a framework they can use to strengthen future
grant applications.
2. Workshop Goals
• Help attendees understand what funders look for in a strong proposal
• Introduce a simple framework for designing fundable projects
• Provide practical tools to clarify program ideas
• Increase attendee confidence in pursuing grant opportunities
• Support stronger program planning and partnerships
